JUMBIES is an exploration of Derrida’s concept of Hauntology (haunting and ontology) in the form of an Afrofuturist masquerade presented by ASHANTI HARRIS in collaboration with ZEPHYR LIDDELL and PAUL SHOFOLAHAN. Working with dance, sculpture, sound and printed fabrics JUMBIES creates a layered fictional dimension, a space of alternate realities, apparitions and re-presentation.
